This is the last Will and Testament of me Dorothy the wife of James Knowles of Low Row in the Parish of Grinton in the County of York. Gentleman. I give and bequeath unto my Brother James Clarkson and my brother in law John Knowles my copyhold Estate at Kisdon in the said Parish of Grinton and all other the seal and personal Estate over which I have any disposing power To hold to them their heirs executors administrators and assigns according to several natures and qualities thereof. Upon Trust to pay the annual income arising therefrom unto my dear husband for and during the term of his natural life and from and after his decease to sell dispose of and get in the same and after payment of all costs and expenses arising therefrom to divide the residue equally amongst all and every my children share and share alike as and when they shall respectively attain the age of twenty one years and amongst the issue of such of them as shall have died under that age such issue taking his or her or their parents share only for their and each and every of their own absolute use and benefit. I appoint the said James Clarkson and John Knowles Executors of this my Will. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twentieth day of May One thousand eight hundred and sixty four.
